Settlement Reached in Death of Ashley Clark

A settlement for damages has been agreed upon in the traffic death litigation of 13 year old Ashley Clark.
November 18, 2013- Ashley Clark was 13 years old when she died in a traffic accident at a school bus stop on December 20 2011. The insurance companies representing the Fort LeBoeuf School District, where she was a student, and Tyler Festa, the man driving the car that struck and killed her, have agreed to pay her family $350,000 dollars to settle the case and stop any further legal action against them.

Erie County Judge Daniel Brabender signed off on the settlement in October.

A confidentiality agreement made part of the settlement keeps both sides from commenting on the matter.

Criminal charges are still pending against Tyler Festa.
