Hundreds of people gathered at the east gate of GE to support union workers as they fight back against job cuts at GE Transportation. The company announced they will cut 950 union jobs -- 500 of which are expected to happen this year. With the holidays right around the corner workers are concerned with the hundreds of layoffs to come for employees. The unions are teaming up to support each other and make their voices heard. All of the participants stood outside with signs to rally behind the UE Local 506 members. Although some have already received their pink slips, Union president Scott Duke says they want to show GE that they are not giving up yet.
