Agencies Train for Water Rescues
JUNE 11, 2014-- Emergency crews are preparing for water rescues on the bay and on
Lake Erie. This is the second year that nine different organizations with water rescue capabilities are working together to prepare and train in the event of an emergency. Crew from local fire departments, The 911 center, the U.S. Coast Guard, State Police and the Boarder Patrol brought all of their water rescue gear to the Coast Guard station on Wednesday so they can learn from each other and become familiar with the high tech equipment they have available. The training hopes to help agencies prior to needing to respond to real life events.
