MAY 20, 2014-  An Erie man accused of robbing a bank branch in the Millcreek Mall is heading to trial.
24-year-old Tyrael Jones waived his right to a preliminary hearing.
Police say Jones walked into the Northwest Savings Bank, pulled out a gun, handed the teller a bag and demanded she fill it with cash.
Jones got away with $3 thousand dollars.
Today, a judge withdrew a firearms charge.
However, Jones is still facing robbery, theft, and assault charges.
He is currently being held behind bars on $200 thousand dollars cash bond.
His next court date has not been set.
