Captain Norm Schlosser is hoping to retire after spending the last sixteen years as captain of the water taxi.
It's been a fun ride, but he says it's time.
The aqua bus operates seven days a week, weather permitting, costing $9 round trip for adults and $9 for children.
It gives city residents the chance to park and take a ride to Liberty Park and then to the Water Works area of Presque Isle.
Schlosser is in his sixteenth year, deciding this is the year he'd like to retire.
Two part time captains and another one are in training.
He's looking forward to retirement, but says he will miss the people he meets daily.
The aqua bus departs on the hour from Dobbin’s Landing, 20 past the hour at Liberty Park and 40 past the hour at Water Works.
If you're a bike rider, you can bring your bike with you across to Presque Isle or from Presque Isle to the city.
