According to the Erie County coroner, the autopsy was still ongoing at last check. We do know the victim had some type of head trauma.
There are still a lot of unanswered questions after Erie Police were called to Deleware and Ottawa Avenues around six this morning.
According to police, a paper delivery woman discovered the body on the sidewalk. Police are trying to determine when the action took place and if it actually happened here. Investigators on scene marked at least five different pieces of evidence.
Erie Police Chief Randy Bowers says they have different locations with blood at the scene but wouldn't comment any further on any other evidence at the scene. Chief Bowers says they are talking to neighbors who might have any information but those who live in the area say it’s a quiet area and that today’s discovery was shocking.
Police say they will continue to piece together evidence and interview neighbors. They are talking to neighbors who might have heard or seen anything. At this time anyone with information is asked to call 870-1120.
