Bicyclists Ride in Silence to Raise Awareness

They rode in memory of those killed while riding bicycles.
It was the "Ride of Silence," an annual event that has been going on since 2003.

The event is now held worldwide to honor bicyclists killed by motorists and promotes the idea of sharing the road.
Tonight's ride was organized by Bike Erie.
The Erie Police Department's bike unit took the lead for the evening ride.
