Friends and concerned citizens gathered today for a memorial ride at the site of a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred last week.
The ride was organized to honor 53-year-old David Johnson whose life was taken when he was killed in an accident at the intersection of West 12th and Cherry Streets.

Johnson died from massive blunt force trauma to the head and upper body when the motorcycle he was on collided with a semi tractor trailer.

Participants at tonight's ride wanted to raise awareness for all drivers who share the road.
Riders then rode from the scene of the accident to the funeral home in order to offer their condolences and support to the Johnson family.
