it's one of the more popular events at Celebrate Erie. The chalk walk in front of the Boston Store lets artists show off their talents in "blocks" along State Street.

This year, a special chalk block is aimed at helping our veterans.

A giant eagle is painted on the road, thanks to BLOOM, a healing arts center that has partnered with the VA hospital to help veterans work through their problems and help them heal.

One of those veterans helping with this chalk block is Jim Tenon, a disabled veteran. Tenon credits BLOOM with helping him when he came to Erie, homeless and suffering from PTSD.

Through BLOOM, Tenon learned through art that his problems can be addressed and you shouldn't be afraid to ask for help.
