Chautauqua County Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office is partnering with the Drug Enforcement Administration in a Nationwide Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

The initiative seeks to prevent increased pill abuse, overdose and theft.

The Sheriff's Office and DEA officials will be collecting potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs for destruction on Saturday, April 26th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following four locations:

-The Chautauqua Mall parking lot in front of JC Penney on Fairmount Avenue in Lakewood

-Alstar Ambulance on Monroe Street in Dunkirk

-The Foote Avenue Plaza in Jamestown

-Westfield Family Physicians on Main Street bin Westfield

The service is free and anonymous with no questions asked.
