March 5, 2015 - Erie City Council will no longer pursue moving citizen comments at its meetings.

After lengthy discussion and not enough support, Erie City Council decided to pull the item off its agenda this morning.

The ordinance was sponsored by Council President Mel Witherspoon.

It would have moved the five minute citizens to be heard portion of the meeting from beginning to the end, unless citizens were talking about agenda items only.

He says today's decision is the end of the discussion regarding the move.
