Erie City Council along with some members from the mayor's administration will sit down Thursday afternoon to discuss the creation of an authority for the next CRIZ application.

CRIZ,or the City Revitalization and Improvement Zone is important to allow for another funding source into private development.

It's a public, private partnership that allows for future taxes that are created by development to pay for a bond issue to get the development built on time.

Erie wasn't picked in the first round of applications earlier this year.

Thursday's meeting will highlight what the city plans to do when it comes to the next round of applications.
