April 27, 2014 - The March of Dimes is continuing its fight to help more babies be born healthy, with its biggest fundraiser of the year today.

The annual March for Babies attracted more than a thousand people to Rainbow Gardens and Presque Isle this afternoon.

This walk raises hundreds of thousands of dollars for the organization: that money is used for research and to help families who have babies born early, like this year's ambassador family, the Lyons.

The Lyons' daughter, Amelia, was born 14 weeks early, and the family says to see so many people supporting this cause means a lot to them.

The fundraising goal for this year's walk was more than $300,000.
