July 21, 2014 - Construction continues on the West 38th Street Bridge. The bridge will be closed through late August while crews rehab it. The project will cost around $800,000.

Construction has also prompted the closure of West 38th Street from Pittsburgh Avenue east to Schaper Avenue. PennDOT officials say concrete and bridge deck will be replaced and new sidewalks will be built.

The project has created headaches for some business owners in the area. Traffic will detour using Peach Street, Route 20 and Zuck Road.
