Coroner Releases Name of Victim in East 10th Shooting

JULY 11, 2014- Shots rang out early this morning on East 10th Street.
Now, police are searching for the person who gunned down a 20-year-old man.
The shooting happened around 1 a.m.
A few hours ago the coroner ruled Travon Green’s death as a homicide.
Police responded to Green who was found lying on the sidewalk between two houses in the 700 block of East 10th Street.
Green was transported to UPMC Hamot where he died almost one hour later of a gun shot wound to the back.
Green reportedly was shot multiple times in the upper body.
We are told there is cooperation in this case.
However, there are no suspects in custody.
At this hour police are still conducting interviews in the area.
