February 19, 2014 - After Erie mayor Joe Sinnott vetoed a sunset provision on garbage and refuse fees just last week, tonight, city council attempted to override that veto.

Council needed five votes to override the veto; however, council voted four-to-three and the veto stands.

Councilwoman Jessica Horan-Kunco voted to override the veto, and says she's disappointed with how the vote turned out.

"We've let the (Sinnott) administration take both roles: the legislative and executive branch. That's not the way government is designed," she said.
