A local family owned convenience store and gas station is celebrating more than a decade of giving back to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Today marks a milestone at Country Fair.

The chain sold its one millionth shamrock for the MDA this afternoon which marks one million dollars given to the MDA.

Bill Donor of Erie bought that shamrock and was awarded a gift card and other Country Fair swag.

All of the money raised stays local and benefits those who are battling the disease.

All 71 Country Fair stores in the chain participated in the shamrock sales.

This year, country fair officials are hoping to raise 125 thousand dollars for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
