May 25, 2014 - Around 1:30 this afternoon, Erie firefighters quickly knocked down a house fire at 24th and Ash streets.

Officials told us that when they arrived , smoke was showing from the back of the home.

The fire seemed to have started in the attic, although a cause is still being investigated.

It took about 10 minutes to knock down the fire but Erie's deputy fire chief told us the damage could've been much worse.

An adult and three children safely made it out of the home.
