April 30, 2014 - If you planned on attending the city's study session on the CRIZ authority, you'll want to note a date change.

Because of scheduling conflicts, city officials moved the meeting for the City Revitalization and Improvement Zone program to May 22nd from the original May 1st date.

City officials and Erie City Council members are expected to meet for a public meeting to discuss the city's creation of an authority to oversee the CRIZ application.

The city was denied the CRIZ award earlier this year after state officials told them the application couldn't be completed through the sewer authority.

City officials want the authority to oversee the application to put Erie in a better position to win during the next round of funding.

That's currently planned for 2016.
