The Kristina Allen case continues in court today. Allen is accused of fatally shooting her boyfriend, Dean Haggerty, to death with a single gunshot wound during an argument inside of their mobile home last year. The 29-year-old is charged with criminal homicide, reckless endangerment and possessing instruments of crime.

This morning in court, prosecutors called a corporal who is the supervisor of the Forensic Services Unit to the stand. She told the jurors she noticed an unknown injury on Haggerty’s right pinky, but it was later determined that it could have been from a prior injury.

Also, Dr. Eric Vey, a forensic pathologist, took the stand. He informed jurors that Haggerty’s toxicology report showed that he tested positive for .286 percent alcohol. Dr. Vey addressed other bruises and abrasions found on his body but determined they were, “no big deal.”

Allen is currently being held without bond. The trial is ongoing and several more witnesses are expected to take the stand.
