Saint Patrick's Day is officially here but it's day three of celebrations in Erie. Downtown businesses are benefiting from the holiday.

Many downtown bars and restaurants opened early this morning to accommodate crowds looking to start the holiday in the early morning hours. Some even waited in line to get in at Sullivan's before the sun came up.

Businesses have been booming all weekend. Having Saint Patrick's Day fall on a Monday this year means three days of celebrating. This translates into big bucks for eateries and pubs.

The Erie Downtown Partnership looks forward to Saint Patrick's Day because it means great attention and an increase in business for downtown.
