The Edinboro Council of Trustees met this morning and voted to put three academic major programs on hold.

Effective with the vote this morning, no new students will be accepted in the art history, philosophy and women's studies major programs.

Those three programs have the lowest enrollment on the Edinboro Campus.

The cuts have been planned for months. Any students currently enrolled will be able to finish their degrees.

The cuts are intended to help with the university's $5.5 million budget deficit.
