Members of the Fire Department stopped by the International Institute of Erie to let those in the international community know that emergency officials are here to help them and that they should not fear them. This comes after a teenager drowned in July after his two friends were rescued, but due to cultural and language barriers, they didn't let officials know that someone else was in the water.
Fire officials say they are here to help. A state trooper also spoke to those at Institute today.
