Erie Homes For Children & Adults Names New CEO
May 7, 2014 – Erie Homes for Children and Adults has announced that Paul Carpenedo will retire in June after serving as Executive Director at EHCA for more than 25 years. EHCA announced Tuesday that Charles Walczak has been selected as the agency’s new CEO. Walczak joins EHCA from Shriners Hospital for Children-Erie after serving as administrator for the past 5 years. He will begin his new position June 16th. Under Paul Carpenedo’s leadership Erie Homes for Children and Adults has grown from offering residential care at its East 27th Street facility and one group home to serving 92 residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities in 17 group residences in Erie and Crawford Counties. Today the agency serves nearly 400 people each day in four Pennsylvania counties and employs a staff of more than 500.
