JULY 14, 2014-- With Harley Davidson of Erie's Bike Fest underway and Roar on the Shore just a few days away, thousands of bikers will be hitting the road in Erie. With more bikes on the road officials say it is important to be safe and watch for motorcycles to prevent accidents. Many people attending the events this week say they take safety precautions before getting on their bikes. Those attending tonight’s Bike Fest say they took the Pennsylvania motorcycle safety program and use what they learned whenever they ride. Many say paying attention to the area and the cars on the road is a big part of safe riding. To help be seen bikers say they try to wear bright colors, reflective gear and have lots of lights on their bikes.
