erie, Pennsylvania - June 4, 2014: Mothers Against Teen Violence and the Erie Peace Initiative gathered in Perry Square in downtown Erie for a "stop the violence" prayer vigil helping to spread the word of peace throughout the city. Representatives from the Erie Benedictines for Peace the Sisters of St. Joseph and the African-American concern clergy of Erie were present as well. Sonia Arrington of the mothers against teen violence said, "It's time to come together as a community and pray together because our city is in crisis." The group hopes their message of peace becomes infectious and makes an impact on our community.
