Erie police are looking into the latest report of shots fired in the city. The call came in around 2:15 Thursday morning for reports of shots fired behind the Rack & Roll Tavern on West 38th street. The caller reported that someone driving past fired shots at his vehicle in the parking lot behind the bar. Police recovered shell casings at the scene. This is the latest of several reports of shots fired in the city this month alone. Merge Mayor Joe Sinnott and Erie police chief Randy Bowers plan to make an announcement on how to curb gun violence in the city.
