July 2, 2014 - There are two new furry faces at the Erie Zoo. The Erie Zoo announces the birth of two red panda cubs that made their TV debut today. The cubs were born on June 15 to a 6 year old mother Syringa and 8 year old father Tate.

This is their second litter at the Erie Zoo. The first cub is Nutmeg who is already a familiar face to those who love the zoo. Experts say the birth of these cubs is vital to the species that is near extinction. Zoo visitors won't be able to see the new cubs for at least a couple months.
