Fire trucks on the scene reported smoke and fire shooting from the home at 28 Harding Avenue around 5 PM Saturday evening. The fire came through the living room of the house causing major damage. Quick work by firefighters kept the fire damage to one room, but the entire house was damaged by smoke and water. The family was not home at the time of the fire and neighbors alerted them of what was happening. Now they are back and trying to salvage what they can from the aftermath. The Red Cross is doing what they can to help the family, who now has to begin rebuilding. Friends and family hope to host a benefit for the victims in Waterford, soon. If you want to help the family call Belinda Flickner at 814-449-4048.
