February 26, 2014 - The federal judge position left vacant by Sean McLaughlin and two others haven't been filled yet, but the process is moving forward.

Recommendations from the pool of 43 applicants for the judgeship have been sent to Senators Bob Casey and Pat Toomey.

Roger Richards, an Erie lawyer and a member of the panel, says the panel reviewed all applications and interviewed each person.

Now the Senators will make their pick and send that to the White House.

It’s still a lengthy process from here, but no word on exactly when the seats will be filled.
