The panel discussion, titled “Investing in 2014,” will be held Thursday, April 3, at 7 p.m. in room 180 of the Jack Burke Research and Economic Development Center, 5101 Jordan Road. The presentation is free and open to the public, and free parking will be available in the deck located behind Burke Center, off Technology Drive.
The panelists for the presentation include:
•Susan Middleton, CFA, serves as chief investment officer and chief compliance officer for Counsel Fiduciary, LLC. She previously spent 18 years as a process or quality control engineer to a number of manufacturing firms.
•Adam Nelson graduated in 2008 from Penn State Behrend with a degree in finance. He owns the Buffalo Road branch of Edward Jones and manages $45 million in investments for both clients and businesses.
•Don Nicholson, CFA, is the chief investment officer for Northwest Investment and Trust Services. He is responsible for the development and implementation of Northwest’s investment strategy as well as the communication strategy the department uses with clients.
•Eric Robbins, CFA, is a lecturer in finance at Penn State Behrend. The courses he teaches include corporate finance, investments and retirement planning.
•Ross Silvis, CFA, is an assistant fixed income portfolio manager at the Erie Insurance Group. He is responsible for designing, planning and implementing the investment strategy for a $2 billion portfolio of industrial sector corporate bonds.
