The Erie Seawolves will kick-off its twentieth anniversary season Thursday night, but it wasn't an easy task to get the field ready thanks to the brutal winter. Fifteen days before opening day the field was covered with snow and the ground was frozen. Wednesday's cooperative weather allowed the ground crew to put finishing touched on the field and attitudes are positive leading up to the first pitch tomorrow night.
Festivities will begin tomorrow at 4 PM as fans are invited to watch batting practice, listen to live music and party on the plaza.
