Fire Breaks out in Erie Home

August 6, 2014- Erie firefighters battled a massive fire early this morning.

Erie police called the fire in to 911 around 4:40a.m. in the 1000 block of Plum Street.
When crews arrived, flames and smoke could be seen coming from the second floor of the house, which was vacant, as reported by fire fighters at the scene.

A fire fighter suffered a burn to the hand, but was treated at the scene and then released.

An investigation into the cause is underway.
