April 30, 2014- Fire crews rushed into action very early this morning after fire broke out in an Erie apartment building.

Crews were called to that fire at about 1a.m. at the corner of East 13th and Wallace Streets.
When they arrived, fire crews saw smoke and flames coming from the second story of the home; they had the fire under control in about 10 minutes.
Reports of entrapment were reported at first, but everyone was out of the building by the time fire fighters arrived on scene.
Two cats were lost in the fire, but fire fighters were able to resuscitate another cat pulled from the blaze.

An investigation into the cause is currently underway.
