The event is put on by the Assumption Greek Orthodox Church as their main fundraiser for the year. They also help local charities through money raised at the festival. Bands, Greek dancers, vendors and food stands are all part of the draw. Up to 45,000 people are expected to attend over the course of the weekend. There will be a fireworks show at 9:30 Saturday night. All of the authentic food is made by volunteers and parishioners. The festival runs until 11 p.m. Saturday night and on Sunday from noon until 9 p.m.
