April 18, 2014 - One local florist says the Easter weekend isn't as busy around the flower shop as it once used to be.

Ruth Thompson Carroll from Rosebud Flower Shop says people don't buy flowers like they have in the past for this holiday.

However, Easter week is still busier than an average day.

But at Rosebud, they mainly deal with churches and flowers for the altars.

Not many people buy the traditional Easter lilies but are going with more colorful flowers.

Thompson Carroll says she doesn't even have to bring in extra staff to keep up with orders on Easter.
