Legislation, co-sponsored by State Representative Ryan Bizzarro, will allow the historical society to take ownership of three historic properties in Waterford. Bizzarro's legislation allows the State Department of General Services to grant and convey the Fort LeBoeuf Museum, the Judson House and the Washington Monument Park to the Fort LeBoeuf Historical society for $1 each.
The museum is housed in a building that's said to sit on the location that Fort LeBoeuf once stood. You'll learn all about this history by touring the museum.
Also on tap is a huge fundraiser for the museum. It's called "Gateway To A Nation" and will be held Wednesday July 16 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the museum. All the money raised at this cocktail event will go to the upkeep and maintenance of the museum. The price for the Gateway To A Nation event is $153.00 per person or $253.00 per couple.
