Today was a free day of fun for the whole family at Books Galore on Peach St.

Celebrating its 13th year, Free Comic Book Day came to Erie with comics for all ages.
It was a day for participating comic book shops around the world to give away comics absolutely free to anyone who came into their stores, with no purchase required and no strings attached.

Books Galore in Erie allowed one comic per person, but by bringing a non-perishable food item or wearing a costume, you could gain even more in free reads.

Last year was a success with over 500 lbs in food donations and this year, all food items were donated to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest PA.
