Instead of teeing off on the green golfers in this year Joe Roots Frostbite Open are trying to stay on a frozen fairway. The golf tournament on the ice gives people the chance to try their best shot on a make shift par three course. Each hole of the nine-hole course ranges from 70 yards to 140 yards. The players used neon golf balls to help them keep track of their hits. The Presque Isle Partnership created the course using different tools including the ice. All of the proceeds from the event benefit the Presque Isle Partnership which helps the park.
