Gannon University Honors Summer J.A.M. Students

The eight Erie high school students who participated at Gannon University in the Summer Jobs And More (J.A.M.) program were honored at a formal conclusion ceremony.

Summer J.A.M. was created in May 2014 by Erie County government, the Erie County Gaming Revenue Authority
(ECGRA), and The Erie Community Foundation to provide professional development opportunities to Erie County’s
underprivileged youth. As program administrator, Venango Training and Development Center, Inc. (VTDC), oversaw 122 eligible youth employees who served for six weeks at 26 employers across Erie County, Gannon University among them.
Participants countywide were trained in a variety of fields, including: nursing, construction, marketing, business, information technology, and public safety, and learned soft skills and workplace etiquette.
