- April 2nd, 2014

Not too many students are fortunate enough to enjoy the same teacher from 7th grade through 12th grade.
But in the Penncrest School District, there's a teacher who has five years to mentor her students, and seems to make a difference.

Mrs. Susan James doesn't teach the usual academics at Saegertown High School, but something equally important she feels, Music and Drama.

Susan James, Golden Apple Award winner, said: "Oh I think it's really ... the rest of their lives."

Mrs James' father was a music teacher, but it wasn't until college that she decided she wanted to follow in his footsteps.
Twenty-eight years later, she's still here, for one big reason - the kids.

Mrs. James, "Even if it's the worst day ... we're gonna do this."
