Housing Project In The Works

Development of a multi-million dollar housing project in Erie can begin thanks to funding from the Pennsylvania housing finance agency.

The P-H-F-A is providing six and a half million dollars in funding for affordable housing for veterans and their families.

Hands of Erie is spearheading the project.

The housing will be developed in two phases in the 26 hundred block of Peach Street in the former Golden Living facility.

The first phase is a 25 unit complex called Freedom Square.

The second is Goodrich house and will contain six one bedroom apartments.
