Pulliam, a long-time renter, said finally becoming a homeowner is something that leaves her feeling a mix of positive emotions.
"I'm feeling overwhelmed with joy. I feel a peace and freedom," Pulliam said.
Pulliam and her kids are the latest family to have a home built as part of the Habitat for Humanity program.
Volunteers from 25 different religious groups helped build the home in 21 days, but it wasn't just the volunteers in on the action.
As part of the program, Pulliam, too, was hands on helping build the home.
Some of the requirements for her to have this home are that she put in 300 sweat-equity hours, change her financial habits, and then pay back a 0% interest mortgage.
Pulliam said she is thankful for the out pour of support from the community to make this dream of hers a reality.
