Early this morning, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, along with city of Erie police and the Erie County Sheriff's Department and the bomb squad converged on a house at 827 East 33rd Street.
Erie police have confirmed that the raids involved fireworks, although agents did confiscate what appear to be firearms from the house, along with various containers.
Special Agent Steve Bartholomew, spokesman for the ATF in PA, Referred to the event as an "enforcement action."
Sources say the Erie house was one of three raided simultaneously; the other houses raided were located in Waterford and Cambridge Springs.
No suspects are in custody, but the investigation is ongoing.
