Martin Luther King Career Fair

- It was a campaign for jobs and income.

Dozens of people turned out today for the Martin Luther King Career Fair at the JFK Center in Erie.

35 area businesses and companies set up shop and met with folks who were looking for work, or wanted to advance to another job. The event was put on by the Urban Erie Community Development Corporation, headed by Gary Horton. Before the Career Fair began, Horton gave a pep talk to those who were at the fair.

Many of those who were looking for jobs attended classes provided by UECDC and learned how to build their resume and interview with employers.

Some of the employers that were there say they has some prospects already in mind
