Mayor Sinnott Reacts To Veto Override Vote

In a four to three vote Erie City Council does not override the mayor's veto on a sunset provision for sewer and garbage fees.

Erie Mayor Joe Sinnott reacting today to city council's vote saying it's unfortunate it had to come to a veto decision.

He went on to say that putting in a sunset provision is not a good budgeting practice.

He was happy city council ultimately decided to uphold the veto overruling the provision that council enacted when they approved the budget.

Council needed five votes to override the veto.
