September 2, 2014 - It's the first day of school in Millcreek Township and several buildings have undergone renovations over the summer and about $10 million has been spent on renovations in the district.

Students at McDowell High School were greeted with a new floor in the entry way. There are new doors and 120 cameras for security measures. Energy efficient windows have been installed. There are eight state of the art science classrooms as well.

The library area will also have a cafe opening soon and the school hopes to add a store to it in the future so students interested in business can gain some real world experience.
