Mercyhurst Students Raise Hunger And Poverty Awareness

Mercyhurst University students are raising awareness for hunger and poverty in the area.

The Empty Bowls event is set for April 13th this year and students are busy preparing for the fundraiser.
It will bring in money for the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Mercyhurst art students made 250 ceramic bowls that will be sold at the event for 15 dollars for soup and the handcrafted bowl.

Advance tickets for the event can be purchased at the Second Harvest Food Bank or at the door Sunday april 13th from 4:30 to 7 p-m.
