Soon, the popular Pandora line of jewelry will have its own store at Millcreek Mall and it won’t be alone. Newcomers H&M, Mad Mex, Primanti Bros., Forever 21, Carter’s, Five Below and Field & Stream are all planning to open their doors this year.
The new 660 square foot Pandora will open by April, 2014, just in time for Mother’s Day. It will be located next to the interior entrance to Macy’s. Founded in 1982 and headquartered in Copenhagen, Denmark, Pandora employs over 7,300 people worldwide.
H&M will open a 23,000 square foot store near the Customer Service Center and Bon-Ton by this fall.This highly-coveted retailer is renowned for its fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teens and children. H&M prides itself on offering fashion and quality at the best price. The first store was opened in Västerås, Sweden in 1947. It is now ranked as the world’s second-largest clothing retailer, with more than 2,600 stores in 53 countries and over 116,000 employees.
The former Burlington Coat Factory building will be completely redeveloped, extending the mall interior to create new retail space. The exterior of the building will be refurbished and a new mall entrance created. Two new restaurants, Mad Mex and Primanti Bros., will open in this redeveloped area by fall.
Fans of Mexican cuisine with a funky twist will be able to satisfy their cravings at Mad Mex. This 6,300 square foot restaurant will offer an American mash-up of Mexican food with some Southeast Asian and West Coast influences. It features big, bold dishes made daily from fresh ingredients. It’s fire and sunshine washed down with a great selection of craft beer and tequila.
Right next to Mad Mex, another iconic eatery will make its local debut. Primanti Bros. offers sandwiches that are not for the faint of heart. Your favorite meats and cheeses are piled high with coleslaw and French fries between two slabs of fresh Italian bread. In the 1930’s, Joe Primanti, working from a cart, created this delicious concoction to feed hungry truck drivers coming and going at all hours of the night through Pittsburgh’s produce terminals.
The name Forever 21 conjures up an image. After all, how many people would love to be 21 forever? You don’t have to be that age to enjoy this store, which will occupy nearly 19,000 square feet between Build-A-Bear Workshop and Lady Footlocker. Forever 21 is the go-to retailer for the latest trends, must-have styles and hottest deals. It will open in June. Founded in Los Angeles in 1984, there are now 500 Forever 21 stores in 34 nations.
Carter’s is scheduled to open its 7,800 square foot store in the first quarter of the year in the Millcreek Pavilion section of the complex. It is the leading brand of children’s clothing, gifts and accessories in America. With a history dating back to 1865, its brands includeCarter’s, OshKoshB'gosh, Child of Mine, Just One You, and Genuine Kids.Theyaresold at over 400 company-owned retail stores, as well as thousands of national department stores.
Right next door to Carter’s, Five Below will welcome its first customers in the summer of 2014. It will occupy nearly 8,700 square feet of space. Five Below is the leading retailer of trend-right, extreme-value merchandise to the teen and pre-teen market, all for $1.00 - $5.00. Five Below's dynamic assortment of merchandise includes everything from sporting goods, games, fashion accessories and jewelry, to hobbies and collectibles, bath and body, candy, snacks and school supplies.
Field & Stream, an all-new concept from Dick’s Sporting Goods, will soon be appearing at Millcreek Marketplace, across from the Millcreek Mall Complex. Construction is well underway on the 51,000 square foot space for this exciting new store. When it opens in late summer, the new store will be situated between Buffalo Wild Wings and Springhill Suites.
The Millcreek Mall Complex is located in Millcreek Township, near Erie, Pennsylvania. It has been serving the community since 1975. The facility was renovated in 1996, expanded in 1999 and underwent massive renovation in 2008.
