Millcreek Man Shot During Attempted Robbery

July 10, 2014 - A 27-year-old Millcreek man is recovering today after being shot once in each leg after two people tried to rob him.

Millcreek Police Chief Michael Tesore said the suspects are still at large.

Millcreek Police responded to a shooting around 10:20 Wednesday night at an apartment in the 54-hundred block of West Ridge Road.

When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Jason Wolfe with gunshot wounds to both legs.

The victim told police two black men wearing green and blue hooded sweatshirts came to his door and tried to rob him.

He was taken to UPMC Hamot where Millcreek Police Chief Michael Tesore said he is in stable condition.

Wolfe told police he did not know the suspects.

Chief Tesore said although the suspects are still on the loose, Millcreek residents shouldn’t be worried.

Although Tesore said this is not common in Millcreek, it hits a little close to home for some.

Police were scheduled to interview all the neighbors today.

They did talk to the victim who was fading in and out last night. Police said he was cooperating, though, and they planned to talk to him again today.
